Tis the Season to Give Thanks: More Speed and Macro Improvements
Good day, everyone! Today is another day of updates and fixes.
In moving ahead with this update, our goal was twofold: to improve the overall performance of Helprace and overhaul our (slightly clunky) Macro selector.
Let’s get straight to it:
Up to 3x better performance
We’ve improved Helprace’s performance by introducing a new memory cache and optimized database queries. What does this all mean for your support portal, you may ask? Well, apart from way better responsiveness and lightning-fast navigation speed, you’ll now rank higher in Google.
Improved macro selector
Macros allow you pick out saved replies and populate your message (or ticket properties) with a single click. We've applied the following improvements to the macro selector:
- Macro folders now show up in the dropdown menu
- Macros and folders are filtered in the dropdown as you type your query
- You can navigate through folders using your mouse or keyboard
- Easy access to the macro management page from the dropdown menu
When you leave the dropdown menu without applying your macro, your search is saved in its existing folder structure until you return to it.
Last but not least...
We pushed out dozens of maintenance fixes as part of this update.
