Adding different labels to different members

It would be very helpful to my community members to have different Titles (lables) that are visable to all conversations and activity. While they do not need to be administrators or have any priveledges, it is good for our members to know who is an employee and who is not. I would suggest the following Titles/Labels of members. This helps community members decide if the answers are biased or from colleagues.

Owner (admin rights)

Administrator (admin rights)

MicroSolv Manager (no admin rights)

Employee (no admin rights)

Champion or Sponsor (no admin rights, not employees but big fans that participate frequently)

Community Member (no admin rights, not employees and in-frequently participate)

You can tell if a user is an employee by looking at their avatar. Check mine on the left for example. It has a green icon on it, which means that I'm an agent.

Would the difference  be that "employees" would have rights I don't want them to have but still be identified as employees ?

I think I got it now. It is a tough one. We'll need to think about it. I believed that employee should be always able to access the topic administraton panel. It looks like this is not always the case though.

No, they do not need it and actually I do not wan them to have it. At Get Satisfaction, there are Admins, Employees who can make different edits depending on the authority given to them. They are billable as users. Then they have Champions which is really nice because it is just a tag but it tells people in the community that these people are special. They are not billable. In your case, I would like to have non billable tags that I can assign to people raning from Employee, Champion, Expert etc.

Thank you for your reply!

By the way, you mentioned these two user types:

MicroSolv Manager (no admin rights)

Employee (no admin rights)

Would you expect them to have different access permissions, or just different titles?

Just different Titles. No access permissions. Maybe we could have some employees with access permissions and others that do not?

If some employee needs admin permissions, I believe it would be a good idea to assign them to Administrators group.

Yes, that works for me. Thank you.
