Option to add custom fields to ticket submit form

Would like to be able to add fields to the tickets submission form. As a bare minimum I would like a field for the user to select what product they are submitting a ticket on.

Would you like to have a customizable list of products in that custom field? Or you'd prefer to show there the list of products (spaces) you've set up in your community (e.g. like the Select Product menu on the left of your community main page)?

The latter would be a preferable.

A customizable list of products would be handled by a dropdown field if you add customizable fields.

Request categories

Is there a way to add categories to requests? I need a closed list of categories users have to select before submitting it. It would simplify support workflow immensely

A must have feature. Like if we are talking about a product, an app, which version is user using, which OS / Mobile brand they have. All these are required for a particular Space / Product.

Any update on the status of this feature?  It's the primary reason I'm not using Helprace right now.  It looks like a great system, but I don't want my first reply to a support ticket to be "Excuse me, which product are you reporting a problem with?"  :)

Customize the feedback form to chose tabs and fields to fill in

Any way to add a template message at least? I need to user to provide the product and some additional info so having a pre compiled message would be an acceptable workaround

You can create a form with any form builder and configure it to send form submissions to your Helprace email. That will do the job. I've emailed you the details.

Edward: the ticket section still lacks many important features

1. You should allow custom fields
(in a real situation we need our clients to complete custom fields or important needed aditional information)

2. You should enable a field to select which space is the ticket about

If these features are not planned yet, you should let us use our own form builder and embed the code in HelpRace submit request page!

1. It sure sounds like a great feature. I'm sure we'll add it at some point. For the time being, I've emailed you an example of how you can build a form with custom fields and redirect submissions to your Helprace account.

2. Spaces currently apply to the knowledge base and community posts. I would recommend you to use inboxes for tickets instead: Creating inboxes by separating tickets received at different addresses
