I know I already sent this to you, but perhaps this might be useful for others:
You can check the document right before you attach it to a ticket. For that right-click on the file you wish to attach and select "Open" from the menu
That will open the document in the associated application (MS Word, Acrobat, etc.) and you can check it before attaching.
You can also turn on the preview pane by clicking the button shown on this screenshot:
The pane shows a preview of many popular document formats: PDF, Word, Excel documents, images, etc. If a document has multiple pages often you can scroll them too.
If that's the right document, go on and add it as an attachment, as usual.
