Multilingual user portal

We want to use Helprace to support both English and Chinese users; so far the UI localization looks fine, but is it possible to translate the content itself and make it present the local language while user reads? like the same content but in different language once it changes the language setting.

We believe that multilingual support should include the following:

  • articles can be translated into different languages
  • ability for users to change the language of the user interface and articles
  • language should be detected automatically, but user should be able to select a different language
  • email notifications has to be sent to users in their language

Right now you would need to create a separate article with the translation. For instance, you can put them into separate space.

I think it would be a nice thing to be able to translate an article to different languages, as you've suggested. I've converted your question to an idea, so that others could vote for it. Thanks!

This would be totally cool in addition to a simple language switch in the top corner that changes the url path to /fr, /en ,...

Since you already support multiple languages this would be definetely a really good solution for multi language sites :)

Does Helprace support multiple languages for emails and knowledge base?

For example, I would like to post articles in English and Russian and users can switch language at community page (the translation of page itself is also set according to language).

And for emails – English users will receive reply (auto-reply and following notifications) in English and Russian users in Russian?

Does community site also support multi language/localization support?

i.e. if select English only see English posting, i.e. per language per community site?

Yes, the community will be displayed in the same language as you have set on the Settings > GENERAL > Localization page.

We look forward to have this feature. Freshdesk have it. 

We would like to have this feature too. Even smaller companies like Trakdesk has this feature.
