When we receive email alerts from Helprace, it is not clear to new users how to drill down to the topic. If you can change the colors on the email alerts so some copy does not look like links and to provide some line spaces so that the "link" stands out prominently, that would be a benefit.

Every blue text in a notification email is a link. They just point to different pages: author's profile, comment, article, etc., so user could click on what he is interested in.
Edward, the point is moot if my community members do not have alerts for topics or categories they are interested in. However, it is my experience that the clearer you make things, the more likely you will have success. If there is any doubt, it pays to listen to person who has doubt and take action if possible.
