Auto Follow your own conversations

When I create a new conversation (article, suggestions, idea, praise) I would think it would be a good idea that who ever starts this conversation is automatically following this conversation and not be required to follow it.

Yes, that's how it works. When you create a new conversation, reply to it, leave a comment to a reply, or vote for it, you automatically start following it. No need to subscribe manually.
