Custom statuses for community topics

It seems like it would be super useful to be able to give custom status names and colors. For example:

For an bug you might want to be able to say: "fixed in future version" or "fixed in version 12". I'm using Unity3d's issue tracker as the source of inspiration here:

We're planning to add support for custom statuses for topics in the future. You will be able to add desired statuses and customize default ones (change label, color, etc).

Hi Rstorm,

You're able to divide up your channels into categories, and then filter topics that way. Is this something you're looking to accomplish?

Add Under-Review to Problems

It would be great to also have "under-review" as a status in problems to confirm the user that the problem has been understood but a way to reproduce has not been fund yet but its still under review.

Please add a new status to Problems called "WONTFIX" for issues that will not be fixed, i always need to go back to admin and change problem into a question otherwise

Thanks for your suggestion. I personally like it. By the way, there is "Declined" status for Ideas. Might be an alternative for the time being.

This is not for ideas this was for Problems, i often get requests to fix things that i simply cannot fix and "WONTFIX" is normally the status in a standard bug tracker

I definitely want this. I would rather have "Unlikely to build" instead of "Declines" and "In development" instead of "Planned." Also, I want to be able to add statuses to the list. For instance, I'd like to have an "Already exists" status. The ability to manage statuses (adding, deleting, renaming) is important. I'm surprised you can't.

This will be awesome!

Thanks for doing this! This will be great!

I think custom statuses as you described will be the perfect solution for almost all use cases. It would be appropriate to link custom statuses to a global (broad) internal status. Example:

Custom status "Declined" needs to be linked to the internal status "Completed" as it has the same meaning (the issue is closed from the agent's perspective). Otherwise automations and such things won't pick up custom statuses.
