Responsive Widget

We love the widget. Being able to access the information on Helprace seems like it would be absolutely fantastic.

Unfortunately, a lot of our traffic comes from mobile users. This means we need the widget to be responsive. At the moment, the widget would not really be usable for our customers.

I'm happy to tell that we have released an update today with the responsive widget. There is no need to do anything about the widget code - it updates automatically. You might only need to refresh the page with the widget in your browser (with Ctrl-F5).

Thank you for your suggestion, Raphael! It's certainly important to have a responsive widget. I will update in this topic when I have further news on this.

I have the same idea. I want to embed widget as iframe on page and it should be responsive because its placeholder will be relatively tight. You already have responsive layout on *.helprace.com support subdomains so it will be great if you will port it to widget. Thanks.

I have noticed a few things that are still not being displayed correctly in the widget. Not sure if it's only me, (using firefox), but when I change the size of the window, the text next to the tabs (idea, recognition, etc...) does not get hidden for some tabs like in the full support site, and also the submit tab gets behind the others making it impossible to use.

Also, could you please change the background color from .main-wrapper.main-wrapper_widget .main-wrapper_in from #fcfcfc to #f8f8f8 so it matches the rest of the background(feel weird otherwise?

Thanks!

You're right, there is an issue with the tabs at the moment. It's been reported and in progress already. I expect it to be fixed by the next week.

Are you sure about the background color? I see that background color of ".main-wrapper.main-wrapper_widget .main-wrapper_in" matches the color of the rest of the background (iframe background), which is #fcfcfc (or rgb(252, 252, 252)). Do you see it differently on a certain website? Could you please give me a link and possibly tell which browser you're using? Thanks!

To reproduce the problem with colors open that with firefox last version. I've attached an image of how it looks to me

Thank you for clarifying this! I was looking at some place else. We'll get this fixed with one of the upcoming updates. You've got a great screen, by the way ;)

I'm glad to tell you that we've updated the background colors and they now match perfectly with our recent update: Real-Time Ticketing and Agent Collision for Community & Knowledge Base. Enjoy!
